I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you, if you have not met me yet... My name is Jonathan Kingsbury and I am the Director of Professional Services for Blue Robin. I started my work with Blue Robin as an intern during the year of 2007 and came onboard full-time in January of 2008 upon graduating from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
I have already had the pleasure of working with many of Blue Robin's clients to help specify, train, and support Blue Robin's web-applications, mail, spam prevention, and other web applications.
While in College, I learned that eBusiness is the way of the future as businesses are gaining efficiency and experiencing greater profits by building eBusiness Infrastructure, reaching a more global or targeted audience. I am pleased to be working with a company specializing in building customized eBusiness infrastructures.
I have been VERY busy ever since I have been onboard -- we have upgraded our entire hosting infrastructure whereby upgrading services we provide for you. I am sending you this e-mail to notify you that, as a result of the upgrades, you should notice significant improvements in your web sites performance, web-mail system (if we support your e-mail), spam prevention, and web-statistics (if opted). Below I have listed all the new upgrades:
Web Site Performance
We have upgraded our Web and database farm with new hardware/software to increase and improve your web sites performance. Blue Robin is always looking into the latest and greatest of hardware & software for our infrastructure, geared towards improving performance, usability, and security for your web-applications and systems.
Web-Mail System Upgrades
When accessing your web-mail from mail.yourdomain.com, you might have seen the new interface much like the one shown below. The newer web-mail system offers a cleaner interface with many enhancements in performance and usability. The system features tabbed browsing for quick access to reading e-mail, as well as printing/ replying/ forwarding to any particular e-mail. Also, a great benefit with the newer web-mail is the ability to assign any user as an Administrator. So instead of having to login to an
admin@yourdomain account to administer your staff's e-mail accounts, we can assign any account as an administrator account.
Spam Prevention
Spam is ALWAYS on the rise and always at peak on the charts. This is surely an annoyance to many of us who experience this as it takes a lot of time to clean e-mail, or even use e-mail in that matter.
Blue Robin offers 2 types of advanced spam protection. Upon moving sites over to our new infrastructure, each domain (e-mail we support) is subscribed to our standard server-level spam protection service. You should notice quite a sharp decline in spam and you will receive daily quarantine reports.
In addition to standard server-level spam protection, we also offer, and highly recommend, the Advanced Spam Protection which eliminates 99% of all junk mail. The Advanced Spam Protection provides EACH e-mail account the ability to modify their spam filter levels (Lenient/Aggressive), Approved/Blocked Senders, Notifications, and much more. Many of our clients who have switched over to this service swear by its positive outcome in stopping most to all spam. Going through and deleting spam is time, and we all know time is money.., so let us take care of your spam!
Web Statistics
This utility is one of my most favorite. It provides an effective means of finding out how people get to your web site, where they come from, what search string (keyword) they used to find you, how long they stayed on the site, and many more useful data. Our new Web Statistics system generates all types of reports about your websites visitors (samples provided below). You'll be able to monitor each of your web-pages statistics, downloads, documents, daily/weekly/monthly traffic stats, visitor entry/exit pages, referrals, and MANY more!
As we are moving web sites to our new infrastructure, we'll provide you with a login/pass to access your new web statistics (if opted for this service).
